P2Culture: Getting to Know Jaceey Sebastian
Each month, we ask a series of questions to one of our fabulous team members to give you an inside look at what makes P2Sample P2Awesome. This May, we interviewed client development manager, Jaceey Sebastian, who has been with the company for the last three years.
What’s a typical day in the life as a Client Development Manager?
Hunt, hunt, hunt! Whether it is reviewing numbers, tracking sales, chasing a new client, planning for a call or prepping for a client visit, my day revolves around maximizing revenues. I also work closely with our internal team to provide the best-in-class service to our clients.
What are you passionate about when it comes to your job?
Bringing the happy to my clients! I love to provide solutions that solve their big and small problems and deepens the business relationship.
What kind of music do you listen to while you are working?
This may be a surprising mixture, but I really love MercyMe (the best contemporary Christian music band ever) and Bob Marley (the greatest and most conscious Reggae superstar ever)! One Love! War! Redemption Song! All Bob Marley! And to end the day, some Gregory Isaacs to “Cool Down the Pace.”
What is the one thing you can’t live without daily?
The love of my wife and family. And my phones! When you constantly communicate with clients via phones, emails, texts and more, plus doing volunteer work like I do, you need technology to manage your schedule and to communicate with peeps.
If you could become an imaginary/fantasy creature, what would it be and why?
Not so much a creature but a figure. I am known to take on and solve big problems in many parts of my life. This may seem a little boring, but I have learned to accept the “Superman” label given to me by family and friends. I love to be protector of the people, especially the underserved. Though sometimes I feel weak myself, I will myself to push to the next level because folks depend on me.
What’s your favorite thing(s) to do when you aren’t working (hobbies)?
I enjoy spending time vacationing (I love swimming in the ocean) with my awesome family, watching TV and working in my community. I volunteer with several organizations from church, head up our homeowners association, and am active in both local and state politics. I am also a member of “Ask Dad”, a volunteer 501C3 men’s organization that mentors kids in the community and in schools.
Do you have family, kids, pets?
I have been married for 27 years to my awesome soulmate and friend, Gillian. We have the most wonderful kids – three of them. Our first born, Marissa has just published her first book at 24! Our middle child, Jonathan is an awesome singer/actor/music-tech/student who will be off to college in 2020. Jeremy, the baby, who is 10, may have the biggest brain of them all! He has been reading two to three grade levels ahead since he was four.
Any big recent life changing events?
While this may not seem recent since it happened in 2017, having our first child move to NYC and away from home was life changing. I am proud, scared and excited when I look at the things she is doing/has done in such a small period. At. Just. 24.
Who is your spirit animal and why?
The lion, naturally! I love the hunt. The success of the hunt! And enjoying the benefits of the hunt. I also like the way the lion protects family and territory from other predators who will seek to take the weak ones of the family. Connect with Jaceey:
